the freedom of religion

The Muslim mosque that was suppose to be built close to the 9/11. Many people protested and even politics decided to join the conversation.  In this moment many people made very hurtful sings and went in front of the building to prove their point. The language plays a part in this because, language is a way of expressing a person thoughts. the people that where denying their rights to the Muslim people where expressing there believes. after a certain time they started saying that it was not going to be a mosque but a community center. I personally think that a mosque being build does not affect anyone it is a place of religion and just how many people believe in something they should let them have their space.

  1. i agree, but i also disagree. People have the right to freedom of religion...however it's like a slap in the face to put it up across the street from ground zero where too many people have died.

  2. I must disagree, I don't disagree with the fact that Muslims have the right to practice their religion of Islam. They are able to build a mosque anywhere in the world, including NYC where most of the terrorists who participated on 9/11 were Muslim and practiced Islam, however I must say that the decision our government has made was great. It would be a slap in the face by all of the terrorists groups, which most are of course funded by the "religious facilities" that do not pay property tax in New York. It does not make any sense, why are the "worshipers" so eager to build a mosque directly across from ground zero? Once again if they are "worshipers" they should not have an issue of building a place of worship in any particular location.
