The Power of Non- Violence in class activity

In this blog I will discuss the passage Testament of Hope edited by James M. Washington on one of its main ideas that Martin Luther King Jr. uses non- violence to get his point across.  In the passage “The Power of Non- Violence” on it discusses that the point of having a peaceful protest is not to humiliate but to befriend and create understanding with them and win them over. It also states that the protestor is not support to hate the person but instead love them, just hate their actions.  It also talks a little bit about religion. That because God loves everyone the protestor should also love everyone.  In addition, the white people where getting upset because the followers of Martin Luther King Jr. we’re not responding the way they had expected the protestor to act. Martin Luther King Jr. is an African American man that believed and followed in full devotion non- violence protest.
